Inward Heart over Outward Appearance

1 Samuel 16:7:
"Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart."

God doesn’t just check you off as okay because you are physically here in worship.  He looks on your heart and knows whether you really want Him or not.  Where do you go to satisfy your life desires?  What table has the menu that suits you, the Lord’s table, or the world’s?  Re-acquire a taste for the Lord’s food, and renounce the world’s dishes, whenever they lead you away from Him.

        Isa 55:1-3 - “Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
                                 And your wages for what does not satisfy?
                              Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
                           And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
                                               Incline your ear, and come to Me.
                                                      Hear, and your soul shall live;
               And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
                                                            The sure mercies of David.
