Isaiah 53:11
"He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities."
Jesus Christ was a faithful worker. He learned a
trade of carpentry, or building from His earthly father Joseph. He was about
His father’s business. Our Heavenly Father is in the business of providing
grace, love, joy, and peace. We each have a different workload. Jesus leads the
way, bearing all of our sins for us. His work finished, he sat down by His
Father, saw what His work had done, and was satisfied. One place we find
satisfaction after our work is at the dinner Table. And at this table of the Lord, we are
invited, called to be satisfied in Christ’s work for us. The wealth flowing
from this work is so great, you will never need any other food again.
And the
retirement benefits are out of this world.
