Deliverance from fear - Steve

Psalm 34:4
"I sought the LORD, and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears."

Our 2-year old was up for awhile last night, scared of the dark, his room, whatever.
Sara is a wonder-worker for getting our kids through this: "you just have to get them to think about something else." But it takes time, lots of hugs, and just the right words/stories.

Who can deliver us from fear besides God?
Fear is a part of our psychology that depends upon God for stability, just as our physical bodies (heartbeat, liver, etc.) depend upon Him.

God is the great sustainer of every part of our being. Praise Him for His mercy.

  1. Hi Steve,
Great to find your website (ReNew). So, what are you up to? Dana and I are in Primghar, IA and enjoying the ministry here. Your family looks lovely. I'm sure you are very happy with your three litte ones.

We have one two year old and one on the way. Alexander is a rambunxious and energetic little guy. We are always very tired, but filled with great joy.

I have enjoyed the conversation on ReNew and appreciate your comments. I attended Synod this year as a delegate. Wow, what a first one, huh?

Well, I appreciate your thoughts and your blog. Blessings on your ministry. Let me know what you are up to, please.
