[Psalm 133]
Lord,
we are glad to gather before You. We
pray for the peace of Your people. For
the sake of our brothers and companions, grant us peace in the prince of peace. We remember on this Lord’s Day that you
raised Jesus to new life, and to bring peace between yourself and a rebellious
humanity, peace between Jew and Gentile, peace between warring tribes and
nations. You will bring this about in
Your good time.
Show your church how to
lead the way. How good and pleasant it
is when brothers live together in unity.
We thank you for the picture of oil in the Bible, running down Aaron’s
beard, a symbol of Your healing Holy Spirit flowing down to us. You’ve given us life, like dew dripping down
to sustain us. Let this worship service
be a time of refreshing, we pray.
