I find deep meaning in this Biblical comparison (Ephesians 5:23, 25, 29-32), and love discovering new texts that hint at it. Here is one from Hosea 2.
19 “I will betroth you to Me forever;
Yes, I will betroth you to Me
In righteousness and justice,
In lovingkindness and mercy;
20 I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness,
And you shall know the Lord.
