21 - David takes a census sinfully; plague results; God stops it, and provides a place of propitiation - where the temple will be built.
22 - David gets material and plans ready for temple building, charging his son Solomon to do it.
23 - David organizes the Levites, giving many a musical commission
24 - David organizes the priests
25 - David organizes the musicians under Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun
26 - Gatekeepers, treasurers and other temple officials noted
27 - Military and tribal leaders, and administration officials noted
28 - David informs Israel's leaders of Solomon's duty to build the temple, and charges Solomon before them all to do it
29 - Offerings and prayer for temple building; Solomon anointed; David dies
