Adam and Eve, 1.0 and 2.0

Good reading in Tabletalk magazine lately.
The January and February issues have articles by Warren Gage which are EXCELLENT.
In case you're wondering, Adam and Eve 2.0 = Jesus Christ and His Bride, the Church. (It's my own idea; Gage isn't as hokey as I am!)
Gage fleshes this out wonderfully, and with lots of Scripture. Check it out if you get it. If you don't get Tabletalk, you're missing out!

  1. I also like Tabletalk, and the topics have been pretty good lately. However, I have one complaint--the authors have to simplify their language. I have no problem understanding what they are saying when they use technical terms, but that is not the case for my wife or for two of my elders who also read tabletalk. I realize it is much more economical to use the technical language, but was it necessary to use fratricide when he could have said murder his brother? :) Having said that, if you have your dictionary handy there is no devotional like it. It is God centered with an emphasis on explaining the word.

  2. of course, that doesn't mean that I don't understand the word fratricide, but as Jim says, sometimes the language they use, it makes me go Huh? What is he talking about now? I know my parents are the same way. :)
